Founded in 1981 by Bernd & Debra Dressler, Messermeister is now a days a leading manufacturer of premium handcrafted chef's knives,
kitchen cutlery and cooking tools, the go-to brand for everyone from professional chefs to at-home cooks.

After the death of founder Bernd, the company is Now a fully women-owned, California-based company with German heritage, Messermeister (“messer” meaning knife and “meister” meaning master) is committed to delivering sustainable best-in-class chef knives, kitchen accessories and award-winning culinary tools, sourcing the world to find the very best manufacturing quality at the right price for the market. Located in the heart of Ojai, California, Messermeister is now led by Dressler's wife Debra and daughters Kirsten and Chelcea, who continue the second generation company's mission to bring innovation and creativity to kitchens around the world.                                                

Since 2021, Messermeister has also established a European division www.messermeister-europe.com with a dual function, a number of experienced people, guiding in the development process and a young team who will handle tailor marketing and developments for the European market.

With almost 40 years of experience in the Branch of Knives, Scissors and Kitchen Tools, SOLINGER has setup a separate division and since 2020 Messermeister Europe was born and became part of the Mother Ship in USA. Through the expertise of the different productions and as well as mastering the different languages in Europe. Is this an essential extension for the Global marketing of Messermeister. The geographical location is in Central Europe Netherlands ideal for the supply chain of goods in both ways.
