The Messermeister Pro Series 10 Inch Scalloped Round-Tip Bread Knife features a stamped blade with a rounded tip that will slice everything! The scallops are rounded just enough to gain traction on slippery smooth surfaces but are gentle enough to slice through coarsely textured food without shredding it. It is great for slicing tomatoes, baguettes, roasts, and even slicing through cakes or pastries.

- The German 1.4116 stainless carbon alloy blade resists stains and corrosion, exhibits toughness and durability, holds its edge retention, and is easy to resharpen to a razor-like edge.
- This knife line is one-piece stamped, which produces a strong blade from heel to tip. The blades are heat treated and cooled to achieve a Rockwell of 56-57.
- The over-sized, hygienic, molded polypropylene handles provide comfort for the extreme demands of a commercial kitchen.

Thin blade (this is key to a good bread knife), easy to use, made somewhere other than China for a change (Portugal!).
IT IS REALLY A PLEASURE TO BE ABLE TO CUT FRESH BREAD WITHOUT DESTROYIING THE BREAD IN THE PROCESS. THE KNIVES I'VE PURCHASED AND RECIEVED AS GIFTS FAR AND AWAY EXCEED MY EXPECTATIONS. GOOD EQUIPMENT MAKE YOUR EFFORTS IN THE KITCHEN SO MUCH BETTER.
Be careful, very sharp.
My mother-in-law gave me her fabulous bread knife, a slender blade with tiny serrations. I baked all the bread for my family of seven and my now-grown children joke about the mayhem they will create at the reading of my will when they fight over who gets that very same knife. That will no longer be necessary since I discovered the bread knives made by Messermeister.
My previous review detailed the two shipping mistakes the company had made, which I should have contacted them about before going public. They were contrite, corrected the mistake - and told me to keep the knife they had sent on error! That is five star customer service and I recommend them and their knives without reservation!
Your products are fine but your shipping oversight is terrible.
My experience: I ordered TWO 10" serrated bread knives.
ONE came.
I contacted you folks, you sent another package.
When I took out the knife to birthday wrap it, I discovered this one was EIGHT inches, not the TEN I'd ordered. So on one simple order, you made two shipping mistakes. That is not acceptable.
