I had been looking for

I had been looking for a short-bladed paring knife, but most I found were 3.5 or 4.0 inches, longer than I wanted. Even the ones listed as 3 inches were often actually 3.2 inches long in the blade. Also, many were heavier than I wanted, with thicker handles. I prefer a smaller, lighter knife for easy manipulation in my hands. These paring knives are exactly what I was looking for. A comfortable handle, not too thick but also not so thin that it seems flimsy, and with a better quality steel than usually found on an inexpensive paring knife. I think it's perfect. Thank you, Messermeister.

We really like the small

We really like the small Messermeister paring knives. They have thin blades and stay very sharp for a long time. The spear point version is preferred.
